[SMM Hydrogen Energy Policy Update] Beijing Announces Leading Enterprises for 2025 Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Project

On October 24, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology announced the proposed lead enterprises for the "Demonstration Application Consortium" of the 2025 Beijing Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Application Project, which are: Beiqi Foton, Dongfeng Liuzhou, Hubei Xinchufeng, and CNHTC Chengdu Commercial Vehicle.

Announcement on the Proposed Lead Enterprises for the "Demonstration Application Consortium" of the 2025 Beijing Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Application Project

To further promote the sustained, healthy, scientific, and orderly development of the fuel cell vehicle industry, accelerate the construction of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration City Cluster, and facilitate the achievement of carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, in accordance with the spirit of documents such as the "Notice on Carrying out Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Applications" (Cai Jian [2020] No. 394) and the "Notice on Launching Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Application Work" (Cai Jian [2021] No. 266), and following the requirements of the "Notice on the Application for the 2025 Beijing Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Application Project" and the "Supplementary Notice on the Application for the 2025 Beijing Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Application Project," the review work for the 2025 Beijing Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Application Project was organized. Based on the review results, the proposed lead enterprises for the "Demonstration Application Consortium" of the demonstration application project are hereby announced (listed in no particular order):

1. Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd.

2. Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd.

3. Hubei Xinchufeng Automobile Co., Ltd.

4. China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Chengdu Wang* Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "CNHTC Chengdu Commercial Vehicle")

After the announcement period ends, the lead enterprises must sign the assessment task agreement. Any "Demonstration Application Consortium" that does not sign the assessment task agreement will be deemed to have abandoned the demonstration application project.
